Skin Care in the Modern Era

I’d like to introduce you to an idea about skin care in the modern era.  First we have to think about what’s the biggest barrier for our bodies to the outside environment.  Like body armor to the medieval knight, our skin protects us from toxins and harmful pathogens.  Its also the first thing that others see.  It’s our first impression and protector.  It also happens to be the largest organ of the body.  Today we really think a lot about avoiding toxins, harmful chemicals and environmental pathogens that can create an inflammatory process in the body. So it’s important as part of a healthy lifestyle to engage in proper diet, careful nutrition, an appropriate exercise program, and it is also as important to feed the largest organ of the body.  We should feed the skin the same way we feed our bodies.  We’re very careful about what we put in it, whether that’s about avoiding processed foods that might contain preservatives, hormones, and genetic modification.  Diets containing fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants reduce inflammatory processes in our bodies.  We should think in that same way when it comes to feeding our skin.

“Factors influencing heart disease may include both the food we eat and the toxins we expose ourselves to.  Toxins on our skin may become absorbed and have harmful side effects.”

Many of the skin products that are out there may be petroleum based and contain parabens.  Additionally, they may contain preservatives and synthetic chemicals that can potentially create an inflammatory process in the skin and the body. So just like we want to be careful about food and to eat food that is antioxidant rich and natural we should also take that same care with the skin.  The benefit of organic and all natural products are that they’re all around us that they’re safe and they will not create an inflammatory problem that we have to deal with. Inflammatory processes in the skin are not just limited to the small scope of what you think.  From the skin it can create an inflammatory process with deeper ramifications.  As an example the cause of heart disease is an inflammatory process, poor diet, genetic predisposition, and metabolic syndrome.   Factors influencing heart disease may include both the food we eat and the toxins we expose ourselves to.  Toxins on our skin may become absorbed and have harmful side effects.

The basic structure of the skin has the epidermis superficially and the dermis below.  Below the dermis is the hypodermis and subcutaneous tissue.  The subcutaneous tissue contains fat, hair follicles, sweat glands, connective tissues, and blood vessels.  The epidermis is made up of four layers.  The bottom layer is made of basal cells that reproduce skin cells that become more superficial until they become the top layer and slough or exfoliate off.  That is essentially the skin cycle which takes 26-42 days and the skin cycle extends as we age.  The uppermost cells contain natural moisturizing factor and these cells also reflect light giving a uniform and radiant appearance.  Cells in the middle of the epidermis release substances creating a protective film containing lipids. Resistant skin creates a solid barrier and prevents allergens and irritants from the deeper layers, whereas, sensitive skin is a weak barrier making it vulnerable to reactions.  The main aging process in skin is wrinkling.  Wrinkle prevention is a multi-step process.  Protection from ultraviolet light and use of sunscreen is an essential part of it.  Other external factors include smoking and poor nutrition.  Antioxidants on the skin may also help prevent extrinsic aging.

In our society beauty and esthetics are held to a high standard.  We are in constant search for products and solutions that can provide beautiful healthy young exuberance. There are a variety of products that are available that can do that as we’re all aware in the marketplace.  However, there are few products that are all natural and organic.  Anamê Vio  is one and it is also free of any petroleum based products and without parabens.  All of the ingredients are naturally occurring and there has been no animal testing.   Not many products have been certified as organic by several regulatory agencies.  While there are many options out there that can enhance beauty and provide a youthful appearance and exuberance this is really the only natural way to do it and natural is more than just saying its naturally occurring.

Let’s look at several of the naturally occurring ingredients that make up the skin care products from Anamê Vio .Rosehip oil reduces the appearance of cellulite and prevents scars.  It contains the antioxidant vitamin c which may stimulate collagen production and vitamin a which penetrates deeply and moisturizes reducing cellulite.  Marula oil contains high levels of antioxidants, most notably vitamins c and e, tocotrienol, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and essential amino acids.  They help in cell renewal and damage prevention.  Essential fatty acids deeply hydrate preventing water loss and increasing smoothness.  The antioxidant protection prevents premature aging. Fractionated coconut oil reduces visibility of wrinkles and saggy skin.  It contains a high number of antioxidants deeply moisturizing and improving elasticity.

“There has been no animal testing and these products are certified as organic from the USDA.  This may be an essential part of a lifestyle that’s healthy and organic.”

Skin care products from Anamê Vio  contain naturally occurring ingredients from our environment.  They are harvested and utilized in a sustainable way.  They are organic without preservatives or synthetic compounds.  There has been no animal testing and these products are certified as organic from the USDA.  This may be an essential part of a lifestyle that’s healthy and organic.  So when we think about a healthy organic lifestyle there are three essential parts.  Number one, what we put in our body, number two what we put on our body and number three how we treat our body. So these are three essential steps in developing a sustainable healthy organic natural lifestyle that will keep you healthy for years to come.
